Next PTSA Meeting & Board Elections for 2022-23: Tuesday, May 17th, 7-8PM - virtual. Drs. Marrow and Briscoe of PGCPS will provide an update on the selection process for the new ERHS principal. Please register in advance (before 5pm on the day of the meeting) to receive the Zoom link at https://forms.gle/LvgQD7JAkJBjt6KQ9. Seeking Nominees for 2022-2023 PTSA Board: Please email the PTSA at erhsptsaweb@gmail.com if you are interested in serving or would like to nominate someone. You must be a PTSA member to be nominated and can join at https://erptsa.new.memberhub.store. Elections will take place at our May 17th meeting.

Officer roles and duties include:

  • President: Preside at all meetings. Coordinate the work of the officers and committees. Support ERHS administration team.

  • Vice President: Act as aide to the President. Perform designated duties of the president in the absence of that officer.

  • Recording Secretary: Record the minutes of all meetings. File all records.

  • Membership Secretary: Maintain a current membership list. Conduct membership drive.

  • Treasurer: Have custody of all funds. Keep full and accurate account of receipts and expenditures each month. Make authorized disbursements in accordance with the budget.

Class of 2022 Graduation (June 3): The graduation will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. on the UMD campus. Graduation has been moved indoors this year and graduating seniors may request up to four guest tickets. Please check here for the latest updates on graduation and other important senior events!

Grad Night: (June 3 evening) Location: Sky Zone, 1300 Crain Hwy, Bowie, MD. Time: 10pm to 5am (Doors Close at 11pm). Cost: $50.00 due on May 13th (Cash Only). Payments will be accepted in the auditorium which is where students will report on their last day of school. Parent volunteers for Grad night should contact Cheron Barnes at cheron.diggs@pgcps.org.

If you are not currently on our PTSA email lists and would like to be, please email erhsptsaweb@gmail.com giving a brief description of your connection to the school. The PTSA has two email lists:

1. Communications List - Join this Google group for announcements; only designated board members may post messages to this list.

2. Discussion List - Join this Google group, where any PTSA member may post questions, comments or suggestions relevant to the school or PTSA.

3. Social Media - Follow and Like the ERHS PTSA on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!

You can also sign up for communications from the school regarding internships, service learning opportunities, SAT/ACT prep sessions, scholarships, Junior/Senior information sessions, class fundraisers and more.

  1. Sign Up for Class-Specific Lists - Go to the school website and scroll down to the bottom of the homepage for the links to sign up for each class. NOTE: PTSA does not manage these class lists, so please address any questions to your class administrator.

  2. Robocalls / Text Alerts - The school automatically sends out Robocall and text reminders to families by phone. In order to receive these messages, make sure your contact information is current in SchoolMax. (If you have not set up a SchoolMax account, or need help, click here for instructions.)
